Chess is a specialist in the field of innovative systems and critical solutions. In a market with a high demand for cost reduction and better manageability, Chess provides complete solutions within its software development centre and product design & development centre, including its own components if necessary.

Chess is organised along 4 operational business lines:

  • Chess ibusiness develops critical software applications and software innovations and

      implements them on a project basis for the market, for the entire life cycle of the solution.

  • M2M Solutions devises and develops advanced solutions and products for critical Internet

      systems, aimed specifically at payment and transactions.

  • Chess Image Processing Solutions devises, develops, produces and supplies advanced

      solutions for complex embedded systems.

  • 4. Chess PLP is responsible for the production process, the production logistics and purchasing

      components.

Chess is based in Haarlem in the Netherlands, with a supporting office in Best, which supports the clients among the top 100 companies in the Netherlands. Since it was founded in 1988, Chess has grown in to include approximately 150 employees in 2008. Chess's turnover  has grown from 11M Euros in 2002, to 15M Euros in 2005, to 20M Euros in 2007.

Customers are for example: ING Lease, Rabobank,  TNO, Shell, Philips, Siemens, KNVB, Akzo Nobel, Unilever, Ahold, ASML and KPN, Accounting Plaza, ClearBIZZ BV.
